Biography

Paul is a recognised insurance practitioner, who joins Integra in September 2021, with over 25 years’ construction and engineering experience, having held senior broking and underwriting positions in the London Market at JLT, Catlin and Travelers.

His role at Integra is twofold; one in a business development capacity to support the continued growth of Integra’s global construction and engineering proposition in the London and International (re)insurance markets, and secondly to establish Integra Risk Services.

Biography

Ewan began his professional life as a graduate chartered quantity surveyor in 1977. In 1979 he moved into loss adjusting, ultimately serving as Managing Director of International Adjusters Partnership/Cunningham IAP, Thomas Howell Group; Technical & Specialist Services Company and IRISC Technical Services.

In 1998 Ewan established Integra Technical Services which operates in the area of complex technical lines claims in property, casualty and marine insurance. Ewan has pioneered the development of innovative strategies for handling and fast tracking the settlement of major and complex losses

  • Power related EAR & DSU loss, approximately $240M of interim payments processed in 10 months, USA
  • European refinery loss circa €80M physical damage and business interruption combined, settled in under 3 months, 2 days following completion of repairs and re-start
  • Petrochemical loss physical damage and business interruption circa $110M, South America, concluded in under 6 months
  • Contingent Business Interruption losses sustained by a major motor manufacturer affecting 9 vehicle product lines throughout the Pacific Rim as a result of the Thai floods

Biography

Leo joined Integra in 2015 as COO and was promoted to CEO in 2018. He has overall responsibility for delivering the company’s business plan and strategic objectives and is responsible for a number of Integra’s client relationships around the world. Prior to joining Integra, Leo was the Global Head of Energy Claims for Zurich Insurance Company and handled several of their largest and most complex claims during his tenure. He was the financial and technical authority for Energy claims in the company and engaged with colleagues around the world to ensure the settlement of the company’s more challenging claims.

Leo sat on the Global Claims Leadership Team and also the Zurich UK’s Senior Leadership Team. Before this role, Leo was Energy Claims Team Manager at JLT for five years and prior to that he was a Claims Consultant at Indecs LLP helping Oil & Gas companies prepare their insurance claims for presentation to Loss Adjusters. Leo has spoken at numerous conferences including Lillehammer Energy Conference, Clyde & Co Energy seminar, OEC London, Energy Insurance London, WTW Construction Workshop.

Leo is the editor of ‘integrated’, Integra’s magazine devoted to specialist lines claims management.

Biography

Sumeet is a Registered Professional Engineer (RPEQ – Structural) and has spent 10 years working as Senior Forensic Engineer for insurance services providers in Australia. Prior to this he gained his Bachelor Honours Degree in Civil Engineering in Nottingham England and worked for major civil contractors in the UK.

With over 10 years’ experience in the claims/insurance services industry and over 13 years in construction/engineering, Sumeet specialises in major and complex construction claims. He has handled numerous large losses in Australia including claims for high rises, major civil projects and major rail projects under construction.

Biography

Simon commenced his career at Babcock Energy in 1986 as a technician trainee. On completion of the training scheme, he held various positions, including design engineer, field service / commissioning engineer and lead design engineer, before transitioning into the insurance sector in 1995. 

Since then, he has gained a good understanding of the commercial aspects of engineering insurance working for insurer and broking companies as both a risk engineer and underwriter of construction and engineering risks. 

More recently he worked for a global provider of independent specialist consultancy risk management solutions to the Engineering and Construction insurance sector.

Biography

Bill is a professional tunnelling engineer, who has worked in the civil infrastructure sector for over 25 years in the US, Asia, Europe, and Australasia. Throughout his career, he has supported many global construction projects in all matters relating to tunnelling including metros, road, rail, power, water supply, wastewater and hydropower using all methods of construction from manual excavation to mechanised tunnelling.

Bill’s experience covers planning, design, construction forensics, dispute resolution & expert witness matters. He is also a tunnelling specialist advisor for risk surveys and forensic investigations to the insurance market.

Biography

Szen is a professional mechanical engineer and worked in the energy sector for 20 years before entering the loss adjusting profession in 2020. He has extensive experience in global development projects covering detailed engineering designs, onsite constructions & mobilizations, and offshore subsea installations. Szen has dealt with offshore windfarm projects in the renewables sector, specifically in the design and analysis of infield and export cables for offshore windfarm array configurations. He was also an engineering specialist advisor for risk surveys and forensic investigations to the London Insurance Market.

Biography

Dilan has a master’s degree in chemical engineering and has been involved with the Power and Energy sector since graduating in 2013. He previously worked as a project engineer in the Oil & Gas industry, providing cost, risk and scheduling services on global construction and decommissioning projects. His previous work also included insurance survey valuations of large processing facilities and refineries in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Following his move into loss adjusting, Dilan has focused on engineering and construction claims specialising in both conventional and renewable power generation losses. He has been based in the Middle East for the past three years and joined Integra’s Dubai office in November 2021.

Dilan was the 2020/21 recipient of CILA’s Cuthbert Buckle prize for the highest performance in the Advanced Diploma examinations and is close to completing his chartership from the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Biography

Natalia joined the Integra Technical Services in her role as Global Head of Operations, transitioning from a role of an Operations Manager with a Hedge Fund advisory. Prior to this role, Natalia fulfilled the role as a Committee Manager at the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers UK where she was responsible for Security, Safety, Subsea and Well Expert Committees. In this role she worked with and alongside subject matter experts from 77 global energy companies.
