Experienced building surveyor joins Construction team in the UK

Integra appoints Richard Simmons as Chartered Building Engineer to its Construction team in the UK.

Richard is an experienced building surveyor with significant expertise in the structural warranty and building control sectors, particularly large-scale, high-value developments.

He joins from MD Insurance Services, a Managing General Agent, where he project-managed warranty and building control for complex major projects, focussing on ensuring compliance with building regulations, conducting risk assessments, and providing technical guidance.

Prior to this, Richard spent 10 years at NHBC (National House Building Council) where he worked both as a loss adjuster and a major project building surveyor, resolving warranty construction claims and inspecting high rise construction projects.

Richard’s arrival provides us with some additional support and 20 years of experience and technical knowledge. Richard added, “For some time, I have been looking to move back into insurance claims, and didn’t need much encouragement to join the well-respected and technically efficient team at Integra. Over the last few years, they have continued to grow in the latent defects market.”

He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders a Fellow Chartered Building Engineer and a Certified Surveyor of Structural Waterproofing.
