New Global Head of Renewables appointed at Integra

Integra Technical Services (Integra), the global specialty lines loss adjusting and risk services firm, has today announced the promotion of Szen Ong to the role of Global Head of Renewables with immediate effect.

Szen joined Integra in 2020 having been a professional mechanical engineer in the offshore energy sector for 20 years with extensive experience in global development projects covering detailed engineering designs, onsite constructions & mobilizations, and offshore subsea deep-water installations.

He provided technical support to offshore windfarm projects, specifically in the design and analysis of in field and export cables for offshore windfarm array configurations.

Szen also has extensive hands-on experience in cables, umbilicals and flexible pipe engineering, manufacturing and deep-water installation, in addition to other various subsea systems and components.

The new role will see Szen evolving and further developing Integra’s role in the renewables sector, bringing together the internal expertise that already exists around the regions, while supplementing with additional hires worldwide.

Szen is a committee member of the Oil, Petrochemical Engineering Risk Association (OPERA), was part of the IMIA working group on offshore floating wind and supported the European Wind Turbine Committee (EWTC) as an offshore wind technical expert. He also holds a current FOET (with HUET) certification for the offshore upstream sector and the GWO onshore & offshore wind turbine certification for the renewable wind sector.
