Integra strengthens aviation team with three additional appointments
Integra is delighted to announce the appointment of two highly experienced hull aviation professionals, and one liability adjuster as the company continues to expand its specialist aviation offering in response to growing client demand across the global aviation insurance market.
Joining the team are David Woodford and Neil Smith as Senior Aviation Surveyors, and Kara Killington-Ratcliffe as Aviation Liability Adjuster. These appointments further reinforce Integra’s commitment to providing market-leading technical expertise and responsive claims solutions to insurers, brokers, and insureds worldwide.
David Woodford joins Integra with 50 years of aviation engineering, surveying, risk management, and insurance experience. Throughout his career, David has developed extensive expertise in aviation risk management, claims investigations, hull surveys, aircraft valuations and technical assessments across both fixed-wing and rotary-wing operations. His distinguished career includes senior surveying and management roles within the aviation insurance sector, alongside hands-on engineering roles with Air Europe, Allan Mann Helicopters, Pratt & Whitney Canada Aircraft Services and Bristow Helicopters.
David has held rotor wing, fixed wing and Private Pilots licences, and brings exceptional technical knowledge across a broad range of aircraft types, maintenance environments and insurance-related technical investigations, making him a valuable addition to the growing aviation team.
Neil Smith brings more than 44 years of aviation industry experience spanning engineering, airworthiness, quality assurance, safety management, risk auditing and claims handling.
After beginning his career as an engineering apprentice with Hawker Siddeley Aviation, Neil completed his Aeronautical Engineering qualifications before progressing through a series of technical and management roles across the aviation sector. In addition to Hawker Siddeley, he held positions at British Aerospace, Britannia Airways and Royal Brunei Airlines.
During the past two decades, Neil has specialised in aviation claims adjustment, accident and incident investigation, risk and safety auditing, aircraft valuation and technical due diligence projects. He also led the Asia Pacific operations of a leading international loss adjusting firm, where he managed numerous airline and helicopter operator safety audits on behalf of insurers and organisations within the oil and gas sector.
His extensive international experience and technical expertise will support Integra’s ability to support clients on complex aviation claims and investigations.
Kara Killington-Ratcliffe joins Integra as Aviation Liability Adjuster and will work closely with recent appointees, Paul Freeman and Sophie Wilson as the aviation team continues to expand.
Kara joins from an international adjusting firm, where she progressed from Claims Assistant to Aviation Claims Executive. During that time, she gained valuable experience supporting clients across both hull and liability work.
Commenting of the new arrivals Chris Whittington, Global Head of Aviation added, “We are delighted to welcome David, Neil and Kara to Integra. Between them they bring an extraordinary breadth of aviation experience spanning aircraft engineering, surveying, insurance claims, risk management, safety auditing and liability handling. Their combined expertise further strengthens our abolition to deliver exceptional service and technical excellence to our clients around the world.
These appointments form part of our ongoing strategy to invest in the very best aviation talent in the market. As our aviation division continues to grow, we remain committed to providing clients with access to experienced specialists who understand the complexities of modern aviation claims and technical services.
The expansion of our team reflects both the strength of demand we are seeing from the market and our ambition to continue building one of the industry’s leading aviation adjusting divisions. We are excited about what lies ahead and look forward to announcing further additions to the team in the coming months”
