Ewan began his professional life as a graduate chartered quantity surveyor in 1977. In 1979 he moved into loss adjusting, ultimately serving as Managing Director of International Adjusters Partnership/Cunningham IAP, Thomas Howell Group; Technical & Specialist Services Company and IRISC Technical Services.

In 1998 Ewan established Integra Technical Services which operates in the area of complex technical lines claims in property, casualty and marine insurance. Ewan has pioneered the development of innovative strategies for handling and fast tracking the settlement of major and complex losses

Biography

Leo joined Integra in 2015 as COO and was promoted to CEO in 2018. He has overall responsibility for delivering the company’s business plan and strategic objectives and is responsible for a number of Integra’s client relationships around the world. Prior to joining Integra, Leo was the Global Head of Energy Claims for Zurich Insurance Company and handled several of their largest and most complex claims during his tenure. He was the financial and technical authority for Energy claims in the company and engaged with colleagues around the world to ensure the settlement of the company’s more challenging claims.

Leo sat on the Global Claims Leadership Team and also the Zurich UK’s Senior Leadership Team. Before this role, Leo was Energy Claims Team Manager at JLT for five years and prior to that he was a Claims Consultant at Indecs LLP helping Oil & Gas companies prepare their insurance claims for presentation to Loss Adjusters. Leo has spoken at numerous conferences including Lillehammer Energy Conference, Clyde & Co Energy seminar, OEC London, Energy Insurance London, WTW Construction Workshop.

Leo is the editor of ‘integrated’, Integra’s magazine devoted to specialist lines claims management.

Biography

Mark commenced working with Integra Technical Services in March 2020, having spent 4 years as CFO of a technology driven Personal Lines insurance broker. Prior to this, he has more than 30 years experience of working with loss adjusting businesses to enhance performance in financial and general management roles. This experience includes leading niche aviation adjuster, Airclaims (now McLarens Aviation) as CEO through an MBO and working at Board level with two other major adjusting firms.

Mark’s role includes managing and further developing Integra’s Finance Teams, systems and capabilities around the Group.

Thereafter, he worked for Zurich based in Singapore (8 years) as Chief Claims Officer Global Corporate / Commercial, and Chief Technical Officer (Asia Pacific) for all LoB’s including energy , construction, engineering, power, casualty with a high financial authority. His experience extends to managing complex major loss as a Chartered Adjuster and Insurer in different legal jurisdictions globally.

Biography

Alistair joined Integra, Singapore, in 2015 as a Senior Adjuster. He was promoted to Managing Director (Singapore) in 2017, followed by Managing Director (Asia) in 2019.

Since 2011 he has been involved in numerous claims across the globe, with a focus on power generation (thermal and renewables), refineries/petrochemicals, and offshore energy.

Alistair is an experienced engineer with specialist working knowledge of rotating equipment, including gas/steam turbines, power generation packages and compressors, along with experience working on offshore oil & gas platforms and within petrochemical facilities.

Alistair has an Honours Degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Edinburgh University and a Master’s Degree (LLM) in Oil and Gas Law from Aberdeen Business School. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and is pursuing ACILA.

Biography

Phil has over 32 years of experience in the property insurance industry. In 1987 he started his career as a Risk Engineering Specialist with FM Global where he obtained his Professional Engineering License and performed risk analysis and inspections of various industry properties including Mining, Power Generation, Gas Transmission, Minerals Conversion/Processing, Manufacturing and others.

In 1992 he transitioned into FM Global’s Loss Adjusting Group handling large complex claims in the industries outlined above. Phil was also part of their CAT team responding to most of the larger Catastrophe events in the US and Caribbean during his 13- year tenure as a field adjuster. In 2006 Phil took a position with Liberty Mutual Property as an Executive General Adjuster. Phil then moved to Zurich North America in 2007 as an AVP, Executive General Adjuster in Large Loss Property Claims directly handling large complex claims under All Risk and Builder’s Risk policies.

In 2011 he then moved into the Zurich Energy Claims Unit managing energy claims in Oil & Gas (offshore & onshore), Power Generation (fossil & renewable), Mining and Petrochemical industries. In 2018 to 2019 Phil was managing a group of Zurich Executive General Adjusters as an AVP Senior Property Claims Manager.

Other responsibilities included preparing and presenting Time Element and policy training courses/workshops to insureds, brokers, underwriters and claim representatives, and working with Underwriters and broker partners on policy wording development for various industry sectors including Power Generation, Renewable Energy and Healthcare.

Sam began his professional career in 2006 as a Mechanical Engineer with AMEC Oil & Gas UK, working as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team, specialising in rotating and static machinery on both onshore and offshore construction / operational projects. Sam transitioned from industry to Loss Adjusting in 2009, working in London on a home/foreign basis for 4 years, before transferring to Dubai to open up the Middle East operations for AqualisBraemar.

After successfully growing the Middle East operation to a team of 5 Loss Adjusters and becoming a Director, Sam joined Integra as Regional Manager in 2017. During his Loss Adjusting career, Sam has successfully settled scores of large and complex insurance claims on operational and construction policies (including both property damage & time element) within the upstream and downstream oil & gas, petrochemical, power, renewables and heavy industry sectors. Sam has gained a reputation for efficiency of service, claims process innovation and an ability to achieve timely and amicable claims resolutions.

Sam has a Master of Engineering Degree (with Honours) in Aeronautical Engineering from Loughborough University, is a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and has ACII accreditation with the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Biography

Andres graduated as an Architect, and entered the loss adjusting profession in 2001, having previously worked as a consultant in a specialist firm of engineers / surveyors closely allied to the insurance / reinsurance industry. Initially Andres focused his professional loss adjusting activities on the energy sector, gaining considerable experience handling oil and gas claims, both onshore and offshore. Prior to joining Integra Technical Services in London in 2007, David worked for a large international loss adjusting operation for 20 years. Biography

Keith’s career began in the 1990’s in the residential and commercial construction management space, but turned to the oil field when he joined Schlumberger in their Drilling & Measurements division. He began as a Measurement While Drilling (MWD) Specialist who quickly learned to drill wells with Rotary Steerable equipment. During his time in the field Keith encountered many pressure control situations, both onshore and offshore while drilling in under balanced conditions. During this period Keith gained experience in all aspects of well completion and production operations. In 2008 he moved into International Loss Adjusting with Charles Taylor Adjusting, and six years later he joined Lloyd Warwick International. Biography

Hugo has a bachelor’s degree in architecture, he is a Loss Adjuster, and a licenced building professional in New Zealand and Brazil. Hugo is also a New Zealand Green Building Council accredited professional and holds a certificate of proficiency in Environmental Impact Assessment. Hugo started his career working on the design and construction of housing developments, houses, and groups of high-density buildings. He also worked with catastrophe mitigation and management, frequently involving landslides and floods. He then moved to the commercial building field where he worked on various projects and construction including the Rio de Janeiro subway system, and several shopping malls.

In New Zealand, following the Canterbury earthquake sequence, commencing September 2010 and Wellington in 2016, Hugo became heavily involved in scoping and agreeing on reinstatement of earthquake damaged structure, initially working as a consultant for insured entities and then working in the claims management sector, agreeing and settling numerous losses for both earthquake damage and other building losses, including litigation support roles.

Hugo has also been involved with large and complex construction and project claims ranging from structural to cladding and weather tightness issues. Hugo has a wealth of experience on Catastrophe Response and Management. He has worked with floods, fire and earthquakes.

Ben joined Integra Technical Services in Singapore as a Loss Adjuster in 2020. He began his career as loss adjuster in London in 2017 handling a diverse portfolio of onshore and offshore energy insurance claims. Leo joined Integra in 2015 as COO and was promoted to CEO in 2018. He has overall responsibility for delivering the company’s business plan and strategic objectives and is responsible for a number of Integra’s client relationships around the world. Prior to joining Integra, Leo was the Global Head of Energy Claims for Zurich Insurance Company and handled several of their largest and most complex claims during his tenure. He was the financial and technical authority for Energy claims in the company and engaged with colleagues around the world to ensure the settlement of the company’s more challenging claims.

Leo sat on the Global Claims Leadership Team and also the Zurich UK’s Senior Leadership Team. Before this role, Leo was Energy Claims Team Manager at JLT for five years and prior to that he was a Claims Consultant at Indecs LLP helping Oil & Gas companies prepare their insurance claims for presentation to Loss Adjusters. Fraser is a civil and environmental engineer who began his career in 2012 working as a project engineer for MWH consultants (now Stantec) in Dubai. Fraser was promoted to the position of senior project engineer where he was responsible for the design of Dubai Municipalities’ largest and most sensitive infrastructure projects including the Jebel Ali Deep Stormwater Tunnel. Derek joined Integra Technical Services in Singapore as a Loss Adjuster in 2020, having had 13 years experience in forensic consulting, root cause analysis, failure investigation, and materials engineering. He began his engineering career as a failure analysis consultant with TÜV SÜD, Singapore.

Patrick began working as a loss adjuster following the 1985 earthquake in Chile. Kevin spent twelve years working as an engineer in the mining industry in South Africa, finishing as engineering manager for a gold mine before moving into project work. He then spent six years in project management of construction of process plants and shafts in Southern Africa and as a technical consultant for a furnace project in Saudi Arabia.

Biography

Phil has over 32 years of experience in the property insurance industry. In 1987 he started his career as a Risk Engineering Specialist with FM Global where he obtained his Professional Engineering License and performed risk analysis and inspections of various industry properties including Mining, Power Generation, Gas Transmission, Minerals Conversion/Processing, Manufacturing and others.

In 1992 he transitioned into FM Global’s Loss Adjusting Group handling large complex claims in the industries outlined above. Phil was also part of their CAT team responding to most of the larger Catastrophe events in the US and Caribbean during his 13- year tenure as a field adjuster. Biography

A qualified master mariner, holding a master’s degree in maritime law, Denis has worked in the marine industry for over forty years.

Commencing a seagoing career as a navigating officer, obtaining a Class One Masters certificate with experience in container ships, oil tankers and oil rig supply ships, the latter serving as Chief Officer.

Upon moving ashore Denis gained experience initially in commercial management roles in the USA and North Asia container trades as Trades Manager.

Utilising his technical background and legal studies Denis was recruited by the Australian and New Zealand Direct Line to manage their marine insurance, risk management and claims department. Biography

Mark has over 24 years of experience in the energy and insurance industries including the downstream oil and gas, power, and manufacturing sectors. Mark commenced his insurance career in 2009 with Rex Andrews & Associates, Inc. as a Technical Adjuster (2009-2011), thereafter as a Senior Technical Adjuster (2011-2015), and was promoted to Executive Adjuster in 2015. In 2017, Mark joined Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. as a National General Adjuster (2017-2018) and then was quickly promoted to an Executive General Adjuster (2018-2020). While at both firms, Mark adjusted a variety of claims involving property damage and business interruption. These property claims included oil refineries, petrochemical processing, power generation, transmission, and distribution, general manufacturing, and commercial properties. For these claims, Mark managed the adjustment process on many occasions involving layered insurance programs underwritten by multiple international and domestic insurance markets including captive insurers. Prior to his insurance career, Mark worked for The M.W. Kellogg Company (1997-1998) as a Process/Systems Engineer designing process units, utilities, and offsite systems. In 1998 Mark joined the Phillips Petroleum Company as a Production Engineer managing daily Crude Unit and Distillate Hydrotreater Unit operations at the Phillip’s refinery in Sweeney, Texas. Mark then moved to the Shell Oil Company in 2001 as an Energy Consultant identifying and implementing energy efficiency projects and programs at various customer manufacturing sites in collaboration with senior management, maintenance, operations, and administrative personnel. Mark was then promoted as a Heavy Products/NGL Coordinator to manage Shell’s Deer Park Refinery’s product supply business. These products included marine fuel oil, petroleum coke, Catalytic Cracking Unit feedstock (vacuum gas oil), and natural gas liquids.

Biography

After training and a period as a Field Engineer on the construction of a refinery for Chevron Belgium, Tony worked for 5 years in the Middle East as a Project Engineer, firstly for Fluor & Aramco in Saudi Arabia and then on several projects in Iran. After obtaining a M.Sc. in Manchester Tony moved to Germany with Davy Mc Kee to work as a process engineer mainly on petrochemical projects in Russia. After six years in Cologne he joined Munich Re, firstly as a property Claims Engineer working mainly on oil, gas and petrochemical claims and then as an Energy Underwriter. Tony was head of a facultative underwriting team for eight years but from 2005 returned to Energy Claims – to work on on-shore losses from Katrina and Rita as well as many large oil gas and petrochemical claims world- wide.

In 2012 Tony retired from Munich Re and started with Integra. He has since worked on many complex on-shore Energy Claims around the globe as well as Industrial Claims in Germany. Tony lives in Munich.

Biography

Gerard is a cyber insurance specialist with deep knowledge of the technology industry. He understands data driven business processes, the financial models that data informs, and can apply that knowledge to cyber and technology related insurance claims.

Since joining the insurance industry, Gerard has adjusted cyber and technology claims on behalf of (Re)Insurers for SME’s through large corporates. The cause of these claims includes; Ransomware; Advanced Persistent Threats; data corruption occasioning physical damage; errors and omissions. He has also managed property claims for damage to technology assets and associated infrastructure.

Prior to joining the insurance industry, Gerard managed Information Technology (IT) projects focused on process and data security across Australia and Asia for clients operating in; banking; insurance; retail; transport; aviation. Following the Christchurch earthquake series in 2011, he joined a New Zealand adjusting firm as a financial lines adjuster to manage primarily technology related losses. His ability to drive claim outcomes draws on his experience as an IT project manager, supported by his having started his career as a management accountant. Complementing Gerard’s professional experience are specialist IT qualifications, and he is currently advancing a PhD centered on risk in IIoT, the Industrial Internet of Things (Industrie 4.0).

Gerard’s joining Integra Technical in April 2019 complements our ‘cross border’ approach of directing the best team at managing the losses we are instructed on. His expertise means Integra is not only equipment to handle all classes of IT claims, Gerard also has significant knowledge of data supporting Operational Technologies (OT) including IoT. Brian has a degree in Civil Engineering and was also trained in Law and Management. He spent twelve years working as an engineer for a construction company, firstly in the gold mining industry before finishing as a head office based manager and director of many Engineering companies for a leading listed Industrial Group in South Africa. He managed a construction company before starting his own Engineering Loss Adjusting practice which prospered and grew for fifteen years until it had offices and staff in two major coastal cities in South Africa. Biography

Tom joined Integra Technical Services in Singapore in 2018 as a Senior Adjuster. After serving an engineering apprenticeship in a Scottish shipyard, Tom joined the British Merchant Navy as a Junior Engineer, eventually attaining the rank of Chief Engineer. He later came ashore, working for a major shipping company as Superintendent Engineer in their offshore, RoRo and tanker divisions.

From 1992 to 2012, Tom was employed as a Staff Surveyor, Principal Surveyor, then Regional Director with The Salvage Association, gaining significant experience in all aspects of marine and offshore casualty claims and risk assessment, as well as gaining an unequivocal understanding of marine insurance and maritime law. In early 2014, Tom joined Brookes Bell Singapore, later becoming a Partner in the company, and spending much of his time investigating the causes of machinery failures and other marine accidents in SE Asia, the Far East and worldwide.

He has acted as Expert Witness and Litigation support in all areas of the marine and offshore industry, including newbuild disputes, shipyard liability disputes, attendance at sea trials, bunker disputes, in-service casualties, machinery breakdown, performance related issues and cost of repair disputes and arbitrations.
